Goto-nada Sea Salt supporting people’s lives

We, Ryouen Corporation, analyzed the components of salt and studied how it works for various dishes including pickles, and in 1985, began selling Isoshio as a household salt mainly for seafood, miso and pickles.
In 1997, the Goto-nada Sea Salt brand was launched and is now used in a wide range of applications.

The DIASALT Sakito Plant is located in Sakito-cho, Saikai City, facing the beautiful Goto-nada Sea.
We make salt, which is essential for human life, with sincerity.

We want to contribute to the development of a wide range of food cultures by continuing to deliver Goto-nada Sea Salt, which has many uses, and become a part of people’s lives.

History

1985
Established fully funded by DIASALT Corporation
(a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation).Capital: 5 million yen.
1986
Ryouen Sakito No.1 Plant was established.
1987
Trial production of Hiragama Salt (flaky salt crystallized in our original flat pot) started.
1989
Ryouen Sakito No.1 Plant was expanded
and Hiragama production facility was newly constructed, and full-scale production started.
1992
Capital was increased to 10 million yen.
1994
Ryouen Sakito No. 2 Plant was built and Hiragama production facility was expanded.
1997
The Goto-nada Sea Salt series was launched.
1998
Osaka branch office was established.
2000
Ryouen Sakito Plant acquired ISO 9001 certification.
2003
The head office was relocated from Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City to Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.
2005
The head office was relocated to Nakano Ward, Tokyo (2005).
2014
Absorbed Sakito Sangyo Co., Ltd.
The head office was relocated from Tokyo to Saikai City, Nagasaki Prefecture (Sakito Plant).
2020
Osaka branch and Hokkaido sales office
were integrated into the Tokyo and Fukuoka branches.
Special salt manufacturing operations were transferred to DIASALT Corporation.
2023
Moved the head office to Fukuoka.
